Build friendship and trust
It sounds not so important but actually it is really useful if you can build friendship and trust with your visitors and other bloggers. They will trust you, and will make returning visits to your sites.
If you can supply really good articles, they will come back for more. Your blog will become their reference. And if you are lucky, they will tell their friends about your blog. And the result is- new visitors!
Other things that you can do:-
1. Participate actively in various forums. Be a good participator. Don't give useless idea. The, place your URL as your signature each time you post your reply in the forum.
2. Place comments on others' blog and leave your URL there. Usually, they will interested to know who is placing the comments and will track back yur URL. Then, start to build your friendship and maybe get their link for swapping with yours.
3. If your visitors ask for something, try to reply as soon as possible. Don't prretend to know everything if you totally don't have any idea of what they talking about. Try to be honest as lie is the biggest mistake. Maybe you can ask them to refer to other blogs or sites that have the answer to the question.
